Shivraj Kumar is a famous actor, film producer, and television presenter who mainly works in Kannada movies. He’s been in more than 120 films over his career, which spans more than 20 years. He’s won awards for his acting from the Karnataka State Film Awards, Filmfare Awards South, and SIIMA awards.

Shivraj Kumar was born on July 12, 1962, to his parents Dr. Rajkumar and Smt. Parvatamma Rajkumar. His dad, Dr. Rajkumar, was a legendary Kannada actor. Shivraj Kumar has two sisters and two brothers.

One of his brothers, Raghavendra Rajkumar, is a film producer and actor. His younger brother, Puneet Rajkumar, is also a Kannada film actor. Shivraj Kumar studied chemical engineering at Madras University and later went to an acting school in Madras.

He married Geeta, the daughter of a former Chief Minister of Karnataka, S. Bangarappa. The couple has two daughters: Niveditha and Vasantha.

Who is Puneeth Rajkumar?

Puneeth Rajkumar, the youngest son of famous Kannada cinema stars Dr. Rajkumar and Smt. Parvatamma, started acting in movies when he was a child. He even won a National Award for his role in the film “Bettada Hoovu.” Later, he became a hero in the Kannada film industry with the movie “Appu.”

He’s married to Ashwini Revanath, and they have two children named Drithi and Vanditha.

Puneeth’s acting as a child in movies like “Bettada Hoovu,” “Bhagyavanta,” “Vasantha Geetha,” “Chalisuva Modagalu,” and “Yeradu Nakshatragalu” was widely appreciated, and he won a National Award for “Bettada Hoovu.”

Puneeth is known as the highest-paid Kannada actor, earning around Rs. 2.07 crores per film. He’s also the only actor to have given more than 10 consecutive hit movies that ran successfully for over 100 days.

He even gave small roles to other actors, like Susheel Sukhraj, in his TV serial and movies.

Sadly, Puneeth Rajkumar suffered a mild heart attack while working out in the gym on October 29th and was admitted to Vikram Hospital. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 46.

Puneeth Rajkumar passed away nearly a few ago, on the same day his older brother Shivarajkumar’s movie ‘Bajarangi 2’ was released in theaters. Puneeth had praised Shivarajkumar on Instagram for doing a difficult stunt at the age of 58. He even admitted that he wouldn’t have been able to do it as well.

Shivarajkumar and Puneeth had a close bond despite their 13-year age gap. Shivarajkumar fondly remembered their childhood days, where he used to carry baby Puneeth for walks and they played together. People in Chennai, where they spent their childhood, would playfully say it looked like a baby was carrying another baby.

For Shivarajkumar, known as Shivanna to Puneeth, it’s hard to accept Puneeth’s death. He can’t bring himself to hang Puneeth’s picture on the wall because he still feels like Puneeth is with them in some way.

Shivarajkumar recalled Puneeth’s film debut in ‘Premada Kanike,’ a Kannada movie from 1976. Puneeth was just a baby then, and his family was excited to see him on the screen, knowing he was destined for greatness.

Puneeth was the youngest of five siblings, and his parents Rajkumar and Parvathamma adored him. He grew up around film sets, and his role in ‘Bhagyavantha’ when he was only four years old became a big hit. He walked confidently into the studio and sang a Kannada song perfectly, even though he had no formal training. People believed Puneeth had a natural talent for music and language.

Puneeth was born in Chennai and was a down-to-earth child. He would mingle with the house workers and even eat with them. He would visit a nearby restaurant called Hotel Hollywood with the watchman and sit with everyone else, treating everyone as equals.
